This artwork depicts a jeuvinile, female Eastern spinebill perched on a Banksia serrata, with an expressive abstract background evoking emotions of hope and embrace. The work aims to explore feminity and the idea of female birds being often considered dull,  when in reality, it is a beautiful adaptation to camoflage and protect young whilst nesting.
